Indiana Elite Checking: 4.75% APY
Designed to allow you to save money while you use it, Indiana Elite Checking is a premier interest-bearing checking account offered by River City Bank. With Indiana Elite Checking, you are able to earn a premium interest rate while maintaining the flexibility to pay your bills.
Available to Indiana residents only, this account must be opened at our Jeffersonville branch. Bank customers who utilize their debit card, eStatements, and receive ACHs will receive a premium interest rate. This account is complete with all the functionalities of online banking, mobile banking and debit cards.
Indiana Elite Checking Requirements
The following requirements must be met on a monthly basis to obtain the disclosed premium interest rate:
- One (1) direct deposit (excludes Zelle® credits).
- Ten (10) debit card point of sale debit transactions must post and settle within the statement cycle.
- You must receive your monthly statement only electronically through online banking.
- A $50 minimum opening deposit, with funds not currently on deposit with River City Bank, is required to open the account.
- No minimum balance is required to obtain Annual Percentage Yield (APY*).
- Balances from $0 to $20,000.00 – APY of 4.75%.
- Balances from $20,000.01 to $100,000 – APY 4.75% to 1.19% depending on account balances. $100,000 was used for this example, but you will earn interest at the lower interest rate on balances above $100,000.
- If the requirements are not met the APY in effect will be 0.30%.
- APY is accurate as of 11/3/2025, and the rate may change after the account is opened.
- Accounts are limited to Indiana residents only, must be opened at our Jeffersonville Branch, and are limited to one (1) account per tax identification number.
